Sono stati rivelati i nominati per ogni categoria dei Game Awards 2023. Verranno assegnati 31 premi totali e le nomination hanno ristretto ciascuna categoria a cinque o sei potenziali destinatari. I Game Awards sono forse la cerimonia d’onore più redditizia dell’industria dei videogiochi, con oltre 100 milioni di spettatori che si sintonizzano per il live streaming nel 2022. Sebbene lo spettacolo sia molto atteso per le rivelazioni del gioco e i trailer che promette di portare ogni anno, i suoi premi sono alla fine il motivo dell’occasione.
L’ambito premio Gioco dell’anno si preannuncia come una competizione particolarmente serrata nel 2023, con solo sei finalisti che emergono dal diluvio di uscite di alta qualità dal TGA dello scorso anno. Qualunque sarà selezionato come miglior gioco dell’anno, seguirà il vincitore del GOTY 2022 Elden Ring, che ha trionfato su God of War Ragnarök, Horizon Forbidden West, Stray, A Plague Tale: Requiem e Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I Game Awards 2023 andranno in onda alle 7:00: 30:00 ET/16:30 PT del 7 dicembre 2023 e sarà trasmesso in live streaming su numerose piattaforme, tra cui YouTube e Twitch.
